Sometimes I am astounded at how greedy everyone seems to have become. And then when I finally get around to taking a look at myself in the mirror, I kind of discover that I am no different from the rest of you. So, you are saying that you are not greedy? Oh, come on, I mean, really. There is no shame in admitting it. Come on now, guys. Admit it. Say it out loud. One, two, three. I. Am. Greedy. Really guys, it just cannot be helped, because this is how we must all survive, right. And me, well, I’m a simple guy, really.
I just want to be able to enjoy the simple things in life. Like taking a great walk along the mountainside. But getting there is still the thing. You have to spend money to get there. And you have to spend money to enjoy the experience. And unless you’re a talented jewellery thief who never gets caught, you all know this well enough, you’ve got to work pretty hard to make the money, even if it is only a sack of coins to enjoy the simple things in life. Like going downtown to my favourite coffee shops, taking in my Americano and gorging my eyes and mind on the daily news.
What happened today? Who said what? Who won the game, that sort of thing. And oh, how are the shares doing today? And have the markets steadied up? And how’s that favorable rate of exchange coming along. Because that’s quite important. Because today, we can all work across the globe. We have different clients from different corners of the world. And in order to make ends meet, we all prefer to be paid in dollars, thank you very much. Because I’m greedy, I need more Instagram followers this week.
I actually said this last week, and my, how I’ve been putting off the enterprise. In the meantime, I just happened to check onto my Facebook page, after how many months, I have like, just lost count, and boyo, how many friend requests I’ve received. I take these with a pinch of salt. I don’t entirely dismiss them, but it’s just this. And these guys who send me their requests, they’re not up in arms or offended when I ignore their requests. It’s the way the business rolls. I really haven’t got the time right now, Facebook.
Because I’ve got bigger fish to fry. See, the simple things in life. And it’s actually quite healthy too. Just a quick, light fry in the pan with a tablespoon full of extra virgin olive oil and the fish is done. In the meantime, I’ve prepared my salad to go, just a cup full of ingredients each way and you see how quickly your tummy gets full. Others do it too nowadays because, by this time, they’ve all checked out my step by step demo on Instagram. Eat that, Facebook (friends?). Not only am I making good business, I’m helping out people too.
